PRIMA Calls for Proposals 2020
EU funding opportunities 1 March 2020The calls for 2020 relating to the PRIMA initiative – Joint partnership for research and innovation in the Mediterranean area now open.
PRIMA’s goal is to create research skills and develop common knowledge and innovative solutions to improve the efficiency, safety and sustainability of agri-food systems and for the integrated supply and management of water resources in the Mediterranean area, contribute to solving problems of water scarcity, food security, nutrition, health, well-being and migration.
PRIMA consists of European Union Member States, Horizon 2020 Associated Countries and Mediterranean Partner Countries on an equal footing basis. To date 19 countries are committed to the initiative as follows:
Algeria, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey have formally become PRIMA Participating States.
The published calls for proposals fall within the scope of Section 1 and 2.
Below there is a summary of the calls for proposals in Section 1.
These calls are managed by the PRIMA Foundation according to the rules for participation established for the EU program “Horizon 2020”. The selected projects are financed directly by the PRIMA Foundation. A two-stage procedure is foreseen. For the first stage, a preliminary proposal (maximum 10 pages) must be submitted which will be evaluated by the PRIMA Foundation. Only successful applications will be invited to submit the complete proposal for the final evaluation.
