On November 19, the call for applications to the EUSEW 2025 Award opened. The EUSEW 2025 award is targeting individuals, innovations and outstanding achievements in renewable energy and energy efficiency, opened.

There will be three categories of the award:

• Innovation, which recognises outstanding EU-funded projects showing an original and innovative path towards the clean and competitive energy transition and can showcase tangible results.
• Local energy actions, which recognises implemented sustainable energy actions, driven by a group of citizens, consumers, a municipality or other stakeholders, contributing to the clean energy transition at the community or local level.
• Women in Energy, which recognises women who lead outstanding activities that, if replicated, help to advance the clean energy transition in Europe.

Applications can be submitted by anyone, presenting a recent project – from a local initiative to a sector-wide programme – or the profile of a person who helps citizens, industry or the public sector to work towards achieving the objectives of the EU Green Deal.

After the selection of the finalists, everyone will be able to participate in the online public vote that will contribute to the selection of the final winner, which will be announced during EUSEW 2025 on 10 June 2025.

The deadline for submitting applications is 30 January 2025.
