Applications for the European Sustainable Energy Awards (EUSEW Awards) will remain open until 1st of February. The EUSEW Awards recognise outstanding projects and individuals for their innovation and efforts in the field of energy efficiency and renewables, who can inspire and motivate others to replicate and implement similar solutions, resulting in social, economic and environmental benefits.
Nominations cover 3 award categories:
- Innovation
EU-funded projects of excellence, ongoing or recently completed (after 31.12.2022), which show an original and innovative path towards the clean energy transition and tangible results, are eligible to apply in this category.
- Local energy action
Sustainable energy projects or actions carried out by a group of citizens, consumers, local authorities or other stakeholders are eligible to apply in this category.
- Woman in energy
Women who run outstanding activities that, if replicated, contribute to advancing the clean energy transition in Europe can be nominated in this category. Particular attention is paid to efforts to promote the gender mainstreaming agenda and support equality and equal opportunities in the energy sector. Actions/projects must have already produced tangible results.
Semi-finalists will be able to vote from April 2024.
The winners will be announced on 11 June 2024 in Brussels during the European Energy Week award ceremony.
