EU funding opportunities 24 November 2024Estimated time of reading: ~ 2 minutes
A new call for support to Ukraine’s cultural and creative sectors is open until 6 February 2025. The Call, launched as part of the Creative Europe programme, Culture Section, deploys 5 million euros to finance 3 projects, one for each of the following topics:
CREA-CULT-2025-COOP-UA-1: Supporting Ukrainian artists and cultural organisations in co-creating with their counterparts from Creative Europe participating countries and in presenting their works in Ukraine and in those countries.
CREA-CULT-2025-COOP-UA-2: Facilitating Ukrainians’ access to culture and cultural heritage – in particular for displaced persons, in Ukraine or in Creative Europe participating countries – by promoting integration, social cohesion or health through culture.
CREA-CULT-2025-COOP-UA-3 : Preparing the post-conflict recovery of Ukraine’s cultural and creative sectors and supporting their contribution to societal resilience through capacity building and networking activities.
The call is open to all cultural and creative sectors. However, projects involving exclusively organisations in the audiovisual sector or exclusively audiovisual content will not be funded by this call.
Proposals for topics 1 and 2 must provide for at least 70% of the EU contribution through cascading grants, to support sub-projects carried out by actors in the cultural and creative sectors.
The call is aimed at legal entities, public and private, established in one of the countries eligible for Creative Europe, which are the EU States and non-EU countries.
Applications must be submitted by a consortium consisting of at least 2 entities, of which at least 1 is established in Ukraine and 1 established in another country eligible for Creative Europe.
The EU grant may cover up to 90% of the eligible costs of the project, up to:
- € 2,000,000 for the project of topics 1 and 2
- € 1,000,000 for the project of the topics 3
