Europe-China and the pandemics
Editorial 19 July 2020Europe-China connection has always been very important, historically, culturally and economically speaking. The recent pandemics scenario put into place a new context in which this connection has to be considered: the sanitary one. At first seen as “the origin” of the virus itself, China was among the first countries to rebuild its image being ready and willing to help countries like Italy, which have been badly hit with no big help at first by the EU partners. Then again a new independent investigation is being put into place to understand the when, where and why of the origins of the pandemics in China, together with the collaboration of China itself in this case.
How every element of this picture will affect the relation between EU and China. We will try to find out in in this issue. Have a good reading.
